Privacy Policy

1. What we collect

When you create an account we store your email address and name. When you generate overlays we store the prompt you entered, the generated overlay HTML, and the settings you customize. If you connect a streaming platform (Twitch, Kick), we store the handle you provide and, with your consent, the access tokens needed to read chat and events.

2. How we use it

Your data is used to generate and serve your overlays, to show your overlay history, and to keep you signed in. We never sell your data. We also save the prompts you submit and the edits you make to your overlays, and use them to learn your preferences and improve the default overlays we suggest to you. Aggregated, non-identifying patterns from this input may also be used to improve the service for everyone. You can delete any overlay from your history at any time, which removes it from your active suggestions.

3. Third-party services

Overlay generation uses an AI provider. Emote lookups contact 7TV, BetterTTV, and FrankerFaceZ. Link previews fetch the target URL. These services receive only the data needed to fulfill your request and have their own privacy policies.

4. Your controls

You can delete any overlay from your history at any time. You can disconnect a platform to revoke its token. You can request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us.

5. Cookies

We use only the cookies required for authentication and session continuity. No advertising or tracking cookies are set.

6. Children

Simply Streamers is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their data.

7. Your data rights

Wherever you live, you can ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, ask for it in a portable form, or object to how we use it. If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, those rights come from the GDPR. If you are a California resident, the CCPA also gives you the right to know what we collect and to not be treated differently for asking.

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it for cross context behavioural advertising. To use any of these rights, email support@simplystreamers.com from the address on your account and we will answer within 30 days.

8. How long we keep it

Your account details and the overlays you have made are kept for as long as your account is open. Ask us to delete your account at support@simplystreamers.com and we remove them within 30 days, apart from anything the law requires us to keep.

Records of purchases and payments are kept for seven years, because tax and accounting rules require it. Support emails are kept for 24 months. Server logs that contain IP addresses are kept for 30 days and are used only to keep the service secure and working.
